The first ILAMB Workshop in the U.S. was held 24–26 January 2011 at the Arnold and Mabel Beckman Center of the National Academies of Sciences and Engineering in Irvine, California, USA. Hosted by University of California, Irvine (UCI), Department of Earth System Science (ESS), this U.S. workshop was co-sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy, NASA, and IGBP-AIMES.
